Harada, Takeyoshi.
Oosakimaci, Ebaragun, Tokio : Redaktejo Sekaigo Soin, 1913-1914.
Two issues, December 1913 (number 26) and May 1914 (number 31), of the journal `Orienta Azio`. `Orienta Azio`, printed in Esperanto and Japanese, was published monthly between 1911 and 1916 in Tokyo by the Sekaigo Shoin run by Harada Takeyoshi. The journal was advertised as `the only beautiful magazine with colored illustrations published in Japan, China and Korea`. These two particular issues include numerous illustrations, a list of subscribers, various articles, advertisements, messages from subscribers, and so on. A delightful couple of hectographically-printed journal issues attempting to introduce Esperanto to Japan.
Original quaint colour hectographic wrappers, bindings hand-sewn in a fukuro-toji fashion. Browning to pages. Small tear to lower wrapper and last page of the 1913 issue. A little foxing to the upper wrapper of the 1914 issue. Otherwise near fine. 2 issues. 26, 27 p. 19.5 x 12 cm. Text primarily in Esperanto, with some Japanese.
