A collection of over five hundred Japanese product labels from the 1920s and 1930s, tipped-in to a photograph album. Most of the labels are from matchboxes and advertise cafes, bars, sweets, and alcohol in quintessential Art Nouveau and Deco styles. The collection also includes labels for medicines, sports products, and cigarettes, and features several woodblock-printed examples.
One album of tipped-in labels, lightly worn. Occasional internal marks and label removals. Album measures 30 x 22 cm; labels range from 2.3 x 2.3 to 35 x 23.5 cm.
