The November 1928 issue (volume 2, issue 11) of Bookman, a monthly magazine for book lovers advertised as the "Ministry of Home Affairs monthly report on the delivery of books". Aside from numerous essays on books and authors, this issue features an illustration seemingly designed for the magazine by Mavo leader Murayama Tomoyoshi (1901-1977), numerous advertisements for books newly published by Iwanami Shoten and other sellers, a list of newly published books ordered by genre with prices, and notes on an exhibition of commercial design books. The lower wrapper features an advertisement for the bookseller Isseidō.

 

Volume 2, issue 11. Paper binding, with single leaves. Original wrappers a little worn, chips and discolouration to extremities, light stain to foot. Light internal marks and browning. Faint sticker removal to last page. [4], 34, [4], 47, [4], 6, [1] pages. 22.1 x 15.2 cm.
