An album of paintings and calligraphic works by ten artists and calligraphers. The volume includes calligraphy by Nakane Hanrei (1831-1914), Nagasaka Sekitai (1845-1924), and Yoshida Banka (dates unknown), and illustrations by Yamamoto Gyōhō (1887-?), Masuda Ryūgai (1877-?), Fukuda Kōko (1883-1959), Kobayashi Eikō (1868-1933), (Kanamori?) Nanko (dates unknown), Okada Sosui (1880-1942), and possibly Fujishima Seison (1864-1935). A nice compilation of hand-painted scenes of birds, flowers, landscapes, and beautiful women.
One concertina-bound (orihon) volume, complete. Presumed original fabric-covered boards, waved, lightly worn, a few small nicks to fabric. Light thumbing, foxing, stains, and marks to leaves. Pastedowns bubbled from adhesive. One outer folding edge splitting at gutter. [Three double-page spreads and one single page of calligraphy, seven double-page spreads of illustrations, unnumbered]. 27 x 19.3 cm.
