The book includes brief biographies of Shakespeare and Lamb and two illustrated plates by K. Koyatsu, an unidentified artist.

One Western-bound volume, complete. Original wrappers, mellowed, a few chips to extremities, illustration tipped-in to upper. Very small loss to margin of title. Occasional small marks to text. Most pages uncut. 4, 8, 2, 386 p. 20 x 13.8 cm.
