The only known issue of Kanamegusa, a little-known magazine featuring beautiful colour woodblock-printed illustrations in a Nihonga style of birds, fish, flowers, plants, people, and landscapes. The preface suggests that the illustrations, which are spread over fourteen pages, were designed to be copied by art students.
Issue One. One stab-bound (musubitoji) volume, presumed complete, on double leaves, traditional East Asian binding style (fukurotoji). Original wrappers lightly worn. Browning and occasional marks and creases internally. [8 leaves]. 23.6 x 15.9 cm.
