Issue Nine of Shin zuan, featuring twelve full-page colour woodblock-printed patterns, mainly of plants and flowers. Each artist's name is recorded on each print's verso. Artists Kamisaka Sekka, Kaigai Tennen, and Tanaka Gekkō are among the contributors. Several of the prints feature karazuri blind-embossing.

Issue Nine. One stab-bound (musubitoji) volume, presumed complete, on double leaves, traditional East Asian binding style (fukurotoji). Wear and discolouration to original wrappers. Ex-ownership inscription to lower wrapper. Stain to textblock head, not affecting illustrations. One 3 x 3 cm stain to one illustration. Occasional browning, foxing, and occasional marks internally. [13 leaves]. 24.5 x 16.7 cm.
