Nanakorobi Yaoki Kaiun Sugoroku ["The Vicissitudes of Life: Game-Sheet of Fortune and Success"]

A reproduction, possibly from the late 20th century, of a Taishō-era period "game of life" sugoroku, sealed in its original plastic wrapper and with its original playing pieces and constructible die. The original sugoroku was produced by Kōdansha as a supplement to the New Year issue of Kodan Kurabu ("Kodan Club") magazine in Taishō 13 (1924). The artist, Takabatake Kashō (1888-1966), was influential in the Taishō period as an illustrator of popular magazines, especially those produced for children. Part of the Roman to Kyōshū reproduction series.

One paper game sheet sealed in original plastic packet. Playing pieces and constructable die present. Small stain to card title at head. 41.3 x 24.4 cm including card title.
