A complete set of three highly illustrated books from the Burinkī Biru no Boken ("The Adventures of Blinky Bill") series. The stories were translated from Dorothy Wall's The Complete Adventures of Blinky Bill, containing: Blinky Bill, Blinky Bill Grows Up, Blinky Bill and Nutsy originally published in 1939 by Angus and Robertson. Each of the books includes a colour illustrated plate and a postscript by the translator, Ide Hiroko. The copy of Itazura Burinkī is from the third edition, Ōkikunatta Burinkī from the first, and Burinkī to Nattsī from the seventh. An early Japanese translation of a classic Australian children's story.
Three volumes, complete. Ōkikunatta Burinkī lacking dust jacket; dust jackets for other two volumes slightly scraped, discoloured, and with occasional tears. Original boards lightly scraped and discoloured. Occasional foxing and a few small marks internally and to text block edges. 158; 194; 227 p. 21.8 x 17.5 cm.
