A manuscript catalogue listing texts composed or edited by Japanese Confucian and Neo-Confucian philosophers including but not limited to Hayashi Razan (Dōshun, 1583-1657), Hayashi Gahō (Shunsai, 1618-1680), Kaibara Ekiken (1630-1714), Arai Hakuseki (1657-1725), Nakamura Tekisai (1629-1702), and Itō Tōgai (1670-1736). The listed books, which are arranged by author, are not exclusively about Confucianism. Books on geography, elementary-level textbooks, chronicles of historical figures, and commentaries on Japanese literature are among the texts listed. The number of volumes each book was published in is provided alongside most titles.
One four-hole-bound (yotsumetoji) volume, complete, on double leaves, traditional East Asian binding style (fukurotoji). Original wrappers lightly worn and soiled.
