A guidebook describing the roads, places, and significant landmarks on the course of the soul to Buddhist Hell or Heaven, offered together with the one-leaf print Seija Ryōdō Reikon no Yukue Zukai Setsumei ("Explanation of the Illustrations of the Course of the Right and Wrong Roads of the Soul"). Both works were probably designed to accompany maps of the fictional places they describe.
One four-hole-bound (yotsumetoji) volume on double leaves, traditional East Asian binding style (fukurotoji). Original wrappers worn, creased, and stained; chips and small losses to extremities and daisen title slip. Minor wormholes to gutter. Small stain to upper pastedown. Slight internal browning. Ex-ownership inscription to front free endpaper. Together with Seija Ryōdō Reikon no Yukue Zukai Setsumei. [2], 28 p. Book measures 16.5 x 11.4 cm; single-sheet print measures 24.9 x 34.9 cm.
