A haikai surimono featuring an illustration of a kite, fish, pine, and what may be paper shide by Shibata Zeshin (1807-1891). The name Baiso appears under the date (spring, 1864) at the end of the text and probably refers to the artist Baiso Gengyo (also known as Baisotei Gengyo or Miyagi Gengyo, 1817-1880), who has also contributed a haikai to the print.
Single leaf, woodblock-printed on one side, complete. Folds, creases, minor browning, light foxing, and a few repaired wormholes. 44.2 x 57.8 cm.
